VAT reduction, independent brand amplification

Price cuts are not enough to stimulate the market
Cui Dongshu, secretary-general of the National Passenger Car Market Information Association, believes that self-owned car companies are affected by the decline in value-added tax, and the vitality of enterprises is constantly increasing.
In fact, the country’s downward adjustment to the manufacturing value-added tax is the second reduction since May 1st, 2018, from 17% to 16%.
On May 1 last year, the State Administration of Finance and the State Administration of Taxation issued the "Notice on Adjusting the Value-Added Tax Rate" to reduce the value-added tax rate of manufacturing and other industries from 17% to 16%. It is worth noting that under the policy of 1% VAT reduction, only a number of luxury brand car companies have announced the downward adjustment of the car's guiding retail prices, such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz.
